Common Types of Urgent Care for Your Cat or Dog
Several incidents may indicate that your pet needs urgent care. If you notice any of these signs, get in touch with our veterinarian immediately.
- Any injuries to the eye area
- Constant vomiting or dry heaving which continues even when food is withdrawn
- Breathlessness and labored breathing
- Trying to urinate, but struggling and failing to produce urine
- Diarrhea which does not cease (can lead to dehydration)
- Gums turning grey, white, or purple
- Heatstroke or suspected heatstroke
- Open wounds
- Seizures
- Extreme pain or discomfort
- Distended abdomen or evident abdominal pain
- Collapsing followed by unconsciousness or being unable to get back on their feet
These are just a few examples of scenarios that may occur, and all require urgent veterinary treatment as soon as possible.
